BadAss 1%er Movement
Welcome to the BadAss 1%ers series, where we honour the courageous individuals who stand up against injustice and corruption.
Inspired by icons like Nelson Mandela, Rosa Parks, and Babita Deokaran, this series celebrates those who go above and beyond to make a difference.
Through three compelling short films, we follow a gripping journey that begins with a whistleblower exposing crime and corruption.
The BadAss Investigation Company then works tirelessly to gather crucial evidence, leading to a dramatic courtroom showdown where justice prevails.
Join us in this inspiring exploration of bravery and sacrifice, and let these stories motivate you to become a BadAss 1%er in your own community.

BadAss 1%er Movement Launch – 18th January 2023
When you mention names like Nelson Mandela, Rosa Parks, Imtiaz Sooliman (Gift of the Givers), Martin Luther King, Mahatma Gandhi and Babita Deokaran, you understand what it means to be a BadAss.
These people have gone well above and beyond the call of duty. They have made a significant difference in the lives of others, often experiencing great suffering in the process, and sometimes losing their lives.
We call these people BadAss 1%ers.
The BadAss 1%er Movement officially launched on the 18th of January with a viewing of the official BadAss 1%er video (see the second video at the bottom of this page) and an awards ceremony where the first three recipients received recognition and their unique numbered certificate.
Each year, 6 recipients will receive awards and enter into the BadAss 1%er Club. “A real BadAss is driven by values such as responsibility, justice, honour, courage, compassion, humility, integrity, and selflessness. A BadAss does what needs to be done, no matter how difficult it is, without complaint or need for fanfare.
A BadAss doesn’t take the path of least resistance.
A BadAss is someone who stands up for the weak and oppressed, speaks the truth, and calls out those who lie, cheat, and steal”. We are creating a series of short video clips to share this vision and encourage more people to become BadAss 1%ers and stand up for what is right.
Please watch and share the official BadAss 1%er video (the second video below) and let’s build this movement aimed at rebuilding South Africa, making it a country we are all proud of.
So join us. Step up and be a BadAss 1%er!
